Death In Lovers Lane

Death in Lovers Lane begins with a mention of the anniversary of Anchor-Hocking's sponsorship, which changed and enriched the series. However, the sponsorship would not last long, ending less than eight months later when the expected sales increase did not materialize.

A series of murders has been committed in Lovers Lane, all following the same pattern: a man and woman found dead in a parked car, accompanied by a card imprinted "I.M. Death". The police send two detectives to pose as lovers in a parked car, leading to a tense encounter with an imposter claiming to be a policeman.

As the story unfolds, Casey and Ann join the hunt for the murderer, encountering various characters, including a hermit and an amateur detective. With a series of exciting complications, Casey ultimately traps the real murderer, showcasing the theme of amateur criminology that recurs throughout the series.
