Casey, Crime Photographer
The Twenty Minute Alibi
Twenty-Minute Alibi is one of the better Casey episodes. A man calls up his insurance agent just five minutes before his life insurance policy is to elapse for nonpayment of the premium. He sounds desperate, asking for more time for payment, but the agent refuses. Suddenly, a shot is heard at the other end of the line, and that's the end of the insured man.
The police call it an obvious case of suicide, but Casey thinks differently. He investigates the man's estranged wife, his secretary, and other potential suspects, all of whom have almost perfect alibis. However, Casey spots the flaw that leads to the exposure of the murderer.
This episode is written by Robert Sloane, who also scripted episodes for various other shows. It features a mix of suspense and clever detective work that keeps listeners engaged.
