Lord Avedon has a problem. Generations of Avedons have watched over Avedon Hill and controlled the only pass through the Lantis Mountains. Traditions are important to the Avedon family, but one tradition has tragically come to an end. Gretta Platt, Housemistress of Avedon Manor, has been murdered. A member of the Platt family has always served the Avedons as Housemistress. until now. Only a handful of people live at Avedon Hill, and most are suspects. Arames Kragen, retired Aarronic Advisor and scholar of prophecy, arrives at the gates of Avedon Hill, hoping to gain access to the mountain pass. Lord Avedon is not in a giving mood, however.

This is the story of Arames Kragen and his attempt not only to discover who killed Gretta Platt, but also to uncover the truth about a town that apparently has more secrets than inhabitants.

The Land of Caern: It is a world where the gods, the Children of Az, can choose to be born as mortals to directly affect events in the world, and often do. It is a world where the Priests of Caern frantically search for the mortal incarnations of any of the Children, in order prevent the Prophecies of Iberian from coming to pass.

A wonderful mix of fantasy and crime novel This is a magical story beautifully, written and read by the author the sound quality and sound affects are very clear and professional if your looking for an escape from the ins and outs of daily life pick up this book for an enjoyable ride Enjoy

This isn't usually my genre of choice, but everything about this book is of extremely good quality. The narration, the story line, the production - all excellent. But what I am perhaps most grateful for is the fact that actual female readers read the parts of female characters. That goes ...

Get to the story already

(2 stars)

Written like a book report. Doesnt pull you in. Tells, doesn't show. Overly drawn out music shows us, this is made for the author, not the reader. Would greatly benefit with the help of an editor.

(5 stars)

beautiful audio drama. wonderful reading/acting. great story - - mysteries within mysteries, fantasy, a little horror, and developed characters. the only thing I found annoying was the long string of jarring music at the end of each episode.

Excellent story, great plot, briiliant characters, listened to the whole thing in 4 days, costing me one divorce on grounds of ignoring the wife, oh well. Great entertainment. good job P.G. lol

(3.5 stars)

great story, but it is slightly marred by the loud and way too long outro music.

Exellent

The only drawback is the music, whiny, repetatvie and too long
