Lindsay Buroker
Read by Lindsay Buroker
It’s been three months since former enforcer Amaranthe Lokdon and the notorious assassin Sicarius thwarted kidnappers and saved the emperor’s life. The problem? Nobody knows they were responsible for this good deed. Worse, they’re being blamed for the entire scheme. With enforcers and bounty hunters stalking them, and the emperor nursing a personal hatred for Sicarius, it’s going to be hard to earn exoneration.

I just finished with this book and on book 3! I LOVE these books. 5 stars! I really hope more of the series comes to Podiobooks! Great production and narration only adds to the great story line. Great plot, humor, and even a hint of romance. Perfect!!
SUPER ENTERTAINING STORY
The Listening Quilter
Amazing listen! I love the sarcasm and banter! The reader, Starla, is a ROCK STAR bringing every personality to life! I'm devouring these books! Moving on to book three....
A LibriVox Listener
Suffered from growing pains like most sequels. Not enough to keep me from the third installment, though. Characters and sentiments intact. Reading was perfect as the first.
Better written than read.
Steven Rodgers
The reading is good but a few mistakes e.g. I think it's paLAVer. not PAlaver. Good stories though🖖.

Can't wait for the 4th and 5th books to be published on podiobooks. Lindsay is a great author and I love to listen to Starla as she reads the story. Truly a great combination! I have recommended this series to my friends, relatives, and enemies. Everyone loves them.
a good story

I am rather taken by this artist's stories, they are not so in depth that I have to focus but still enthralling. a great book to cycle to
A decent follow-on from Book 1

In summary, more of the same from book 1. A decent story that is well read. Not earthshattering, but worth listening to.
This series won't disappoint!

Clever reading of this wonderfully written and engrossing tale. Can't wait to dive into the next two books!
